The Whistle Stop Tavern was erected by Edward Davis. It was opened in 1911, replacing the Railway Arms Hotel which was established next door in 1878.
Patrick Lohan was the publican from 1878 until 1910.

Railway Hotel is a heritage-listed hotel at 1 Station Road, Gympie, Gympie Region, Queensland, Australia. It was designed by Alexander Brown Wilson and built in 1915 by J J Georges.

The Railway Tavern Bistro offers a wide range of both traditional and modern pub meals. We use only the top quality ingredients, most of which are sourced from our local providers.
