Poor service

We stayed in Ballina for 2 nights, the first night we went to Shaws for dinner, I had a carpet bag steak, not great and cost 27$ but accepted it. The next night we went back... why; convenience! Anyway I said to the girl serving that the night before we got hardly any chips (as in maybe 10 small chips) with our meals and could we have a few more so we wouldn't go home hungry again, I was told that the chips and salad were complimentary so I was lucky to have them, I then asked for the head chef who told me the exact same speil, we had children who were hungry and tired so we had to eat, and had to spend over 50$ a night there on food once again plus order a side of chips....
Do yourself a favour the bar is good and friendly but don't dine there unless you are happy to spend 20~30$ on yourself and go home hungry
