Build in the 1840's, the Royal Hotel Motel was originally known as Georges Inn and was Tenterfield's first licensed premises in 1849.

Affectingly known as "The Royal", the hotel has been the centre point of social meetings, weddings and accommodation in Tenterfield for well over 150 years.
