Toongabbie Hotel, TOONGABBIE, NSW

Well done everyone in the dining area.... especially Ronaldo! We've been coming quite often on a Saturday for lunch plus the occasional time in between. Last night my husband even chose to have the family bring him to Toongabbie Hotel for his birthday dinner after checking out lots of other local restaurants on-line. We often have a fish dinner of some sort there, with all the the yummy vegetables or salad. But last night... WOW! It was the best yet! Barrumundi with seafood in a delicious sauce. Not to mention the other dishes on the menu that we often share - so good hey. The service is very friendly & relaxing too. Enjoy!!

I had a fabulous Pizza there, last year 2011 the Alesandro ..... Chef special , absolutely devine , service was second to none....however, since then being a local and eating there ONCE quite often ...the place has gone to the dogs, bar staff are RUDE and SERVICE was non existent , I had to cough to be noticed and then was told not only do they no longer serve PIZZA and they couldnt give a crap because they are LOSING MONEY ANYWAY , they did not have Wild Turkey or Jack Daniels available. Thats right no TOP SHELF ... $7 a pop and I couldnt get one. I have and will continue to tell people to avoid this ESTABLISHMENT AT ALL COSTS , becuase now there is NO GOOD BAR STAFF, NOR KITCHEN and WAIT STAFF and the place is full of LOCAL SCUM DRUNKARDS that harrass females and over drink , where a responsible bar staff is supposed to oversee ! .... Toongabbie Hotel SUX..... and I was born and raised in TOONIE ....y'all need to get busy with your TEAM BUILDING ...LOL WHat a crock

Stopped in for a steak last week with my son following his footy training . My son rated it the best steak ever.We will be coming back weekly making it a tradition. Pepper suace was amazing,beer cold with friendly vibrant staff .Pleasure to eat there

I have been coming to toongabbie hotel for years now. my grand daughter and I recently came back for dinner to try it after not eating there for a lil while. Met the great new chef, food was beyond amazing and she was wonderful! Great job on finding someone who can bring back old customers. Keep up the good work. We will keep coming back and tell all our friends.

Monday Night @ Fillippo's @ the Toongabbie Hotel! 2 for 1 Pizza & Pasta also Chef's selected meals from Chef David's extensive Menu! Last Night We all enjoyed Chicken Supreme,, SlowCooked Pork Belly & Lamb Shanks-all served with choice of Salad/Veges & Chips! just YUMMY!!! We have also had Tuesday Night special of Chicken Schnitzel $8 & Wednesday Night Rump Steak $10!!! We'll definitely keep coming back!!

I have been eating at Toongabbie Hotel every week for a year. It has just been sold to Woolworths. Suddenly everything changes. The food has gone off slightly. Good size meals, but the steaks and schnizels now get overcooked.
Please bring back Giovanni. He was a colourful character and very caring towards the customers. He enlivened the food.
It was once a pleasure to dine there, now its like any other pub food.
The ribs have always been great, and the steaks were until a month or so ago.
Why does this have to happen? The guys who clean the tables have vanished. The happy people now have long faces. People moan and groan cos the food takes so long to arrive.
If the price of the meals had gone down that would be understandable. But the prices are the same, but the quality and service are not.

Went to Fillippo's last night for a birthday party. The tables were dirty, I had to ask for something to clean them. The chef tried to get the attention of the register person, but she was too busy talking to a friend to even see him. The chef actually cleaned the tables for me. When we ordered, there were no steak knives or serviettes, and when more knives arrived, they were not particularly clean. The order took quite a long time to arrive, there was 8 of us, and I noticed that there were a lot of people that ordered after us that received their order well before us. When the order arrived, they were 1 short and the plate that had the BBQ ribs on it was VERY small and very messy. The tables were not cleared or cleaned after people left them and, like us, many people took the dirty plates to the counter so they could use the tables. The only saving grace was the food which was O.K., but I have to say that the Chicken Parmigiana at the Wentworthville Hotel is still superior and only costs $9.00 for the same meal instead of the $17.00 I paid. As we left, I heard the chef complaining to the register person that he needed pots, and previous to that he had stated that they were short staffed. I understand that he they had some difficulties, but it is not my problem and did not make what should have been a nice night as nice as it could have been. I have to say that the customer service, which is what makes a place memorable, was memorable for the wrong reasons and I really would not be inclined to return if a hurry.

Well theres a lot to say about the food at Toony AKA Toongabbie Hotel the Menu is nice the foods sensational and the staff are genuinely happy to be there. Since the renovations and the changes in the chef and the new bang zoom kitchen oh my! I actually have to drive past about 10 places to eat to get there and i do it gladly. Cheers Toony great job keep it coming and so will i, i'll drink to that.

Congratulations to the chef at Toongabbie Hotel..Had lunch there over the Easter break and found the staff friendly and the food from the restaurant was fabulous..cooked to perfection and beautifully presented. Well done all..will be back..Kris.

I was a first time visitor to Toongabbie Hotel recently. Friendly atmosphere, friendly staff, the bistro food is delicious, well presented and excellent value. I will visit again in the near future.

People who commented on the service and food being 'the worst ever' must not have been back recently? The food is great! The prices are reasonable, and the staff are friendly! The only thing I have to say is bring your appetite with you cos these ain't meals for people on a diet!

I just wanted to say that the hotel bistro is one of the best kept secrets in the area. Since discovering the Toongabbie Hotel late last year we have been back numerous times and recently celebrated by wife and her twin sisters birthday there for lunch. The food is great value and delicious.
We'll definately be returning on a regular basis..

Hi, just wanted to say 'wow'. Ive been to alot of pubs aroud the area and the atmosphere at the Toongabbie Hotel was great. Great staff, fantastic food and Saturday night, what can i say.. Great music to get the mood pumping.
But the general day to day mood is great too. Good to see more and more 'young' people turning up keeping pubs alive.
Anyways, thanks for the great set up. Josh.
