Mount Carbine is one of those middle of nowhere places on the inland road from Cairns to Cooktown in north Queensland, and if you're traveling along this long hot road you just have to stop for a beer at this pub and admire the collection of funny signs and artwork.

Great Pub
Nick the barman is a legend i was on a bike trip with 8 mates and we pulled in at dark he offered a room for showering at no cost and we camped beside pub .We drank in the pub all night until closing and then continued on with the roller shutters down.I think Nick had to much of our red brew 20ltr drum of port with a 1ltr of rum mixed in.Highly recommend .It was ashame we couldnt rasie him the next morning to thank him for a great night.
