Under new owners of James and Deb Gardner this Beaconsfield icon will continue great pricing with all its current great staff. While sadly the public bar will not open immediately, instead it is beginning a restoration to include a food operation

Weird place.The owner was
Weird place. The owner was trying to sell me the pub. It looked in very bad condition. Weird experience in a beautiful little town. I will return to see the heritage centre. And across to George Town. Weird hotel that Ophir.
Not a place for women
We were uncomfortable in this place. Uneasy feeling from the people in the bar.
Is this a pub?
Wasn't sure if this was an operating pub. Walked into the totally empty bar area. 5min before anyone served behind the bar. Weird
Strange pub
Not a lot to say about this hotel. Like a bad 1971 dream. Reminded me a little of a time warp. Strange folk in the bar. All quiet and whispering. The lap steel music freaked me out . Ohio on Route 66. Cheap bottle shop for wine.
