TANDARA Hotel Motel is located on Spring Bay (just north of Orford), the Gateway to the beautiful Maria Island and the Mercury Passage. You will be treated to warm hospitality with log fires and newly refurbished motel rooms, conference facilities, tennis court, swimming pool and barbeque area.
Centrally positioned on the East Coast of Tasmania and only an hour from Hobart, the Tandara is an ideal place to base yourself to experience the attractions of the area. TANDARA is situated in a former garrison town for convicts in the early colonial days of Tasmania. The area combines history, magnificent scenery, beaches and fine food and wine.
TANDARA has a fine restaurant/bistro which features local Tasmanian seafood, produce and wines.
TANDARA is aboriginal for "camp-here" and we would love you to join us.

Awesome little gem

2 years in a row we have come and stayed at tandara for a girls weekend away. The staff are fantastic, rooms are so comfortable and the atmosphere is awesome.
We are definatly coming back again :)

we stayed last november, only for one night, the rooms were newly refurbished and beautifully layed out, the meals were good and the staff friendly.
i'm booking for 2 nights this year!
