The Apollo Bay Hotel is located on the Great Ocean Road, 2.5 hours drive west of Melbourne on one of the most scenic drives in the world.

Apollo Bay is renowned for its magnificent beaches, Otway rainforest and waterfalls and only a short distance from the famous Twelve Apostles. The hotel has a reputation for great local seafood and friendly service all whilst enjoying magnificent ocean views and the atmosphere of a small coastal town.

The Apollo Bay Hotel also caters for local and international tour groups of all sizes. We provide very prompt service and will gladly offer a variety of menus to suit your group. All enquiries welcome.

A good place to watch the Olympics

During my last trip along the Great Ocean Road I decided that I would spend the night in 'Sunny Apollo Bay' (though I would hardly call it sunny at that particular time), and after checking into a random motel I walked down the main street to this pub for a beer and a meal. The meal itself wasn't bad, and there was a nice outside area facing the beach (though it is not a beachfront hotel because there is a road in the way). Afterwards I made my way to the front bar where I had another beer and watched a random Olympic event on the television (and had decided to cheer on Kazakstan, as they had won more gold medals than Australia at that time).
