Kingsgate Hotel, MELBOURNE, VIC

At the Kingsgate Hotel, we’re committed to improving our service to our guests. That’s why we’re pleased to introduce services designed to make your stay with us all the more comfortable and convenient. You can now enjoy 24-hour reception, free luggage storage facilities, a guest laundry, same day return dry cleaning service and free use of the safety deposit boxes. That means all you have to do is sit back, relax and enjoy a refreshing drink in Squizzy's Cafe, Bar and Lounge.

Named after the notorious Melbourne gangster of the 1920's, Les "Squizzy" Taylor, Squizzy's wood paneling, leadlight and memorabilia add to the hotels historic ambience. The cafe and bar, with a balcony overlooking leafy King Street, offers a hearty breakfast each morning and a place to unwind with a light meal and a glass of wine in the evening. The lounge provides a cosy place to relax or to meet with friends before stepping out for the evening.
