The Carlton On Hay, EAST PERTH, WA

This is your classic, gritty, no frills Aussie pub complete with barflies, cheap beer, a pool table and a TAB. Sure it isn't fancy but it achieves exactly what it is set up to do which is more than can be said for some of the more pretentious bars in the area.

This is one of the city centre's few venues for local original bands. It is a hangout for alt-rockers, with jams six nights a week.
